My name is Sylvia Garofolo. I was born in Lake Charles, LA but currently live in Missouri with my husband of over 25 years along with my two Chihuahua children.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and work full time in a medical laboratory. I hope that my paintings will inspire others to see the beauty in the world around them, and to connect more deeply with the natural world.
Welcome to my home studio
As a self-taught oil painter, my passion for art began at a young age. Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by the beauty of nature and the world around me, and I found myself constantly drawn to expressing that beauty through my art. My early years were spent experimenting with different mediums and techniques, and I quickly fell in love with the rich, textured quality of oil paints.
Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to honing my craft and developing my own unique style. I have never received formal art training, but I have spent countless hours studying the works of the great masters and experimenting with different techniques. I believe that my self-taught approach has allowed me to develop a truly unique perspective and style, one that is deeply rooted in my love of nature and the natural world.
My paintings are an expression of my connection to the world around me, and I strive to capture the beauty and wonder of nature in every piece. My work is deeply personal and reflects my own experiences, emotions, and connection to the natural world. I am constantly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of my art, and I am always looking for new ways to express myself and my connection to the world.
